NON STOP OUR LEAVING
Tripping anchor in flight among friends
I spread newspaper, circling plants and printed books
bandaging objects for journey
and crinkle millet, scattering seeds
on beetroot in our wedding bowl,
while you patch and bubble wrap.
Dont forget that yellow plate and Kate's green one
the Antoinette doll and my Fairy!
Watching photos speak we box footprints
to a background of Muddy Waters then minnow
off to the butcher for more blood boxes
preparing for tuesday at ten when a scattering of trucks
with kind hearted men will be patienting,
as they did before, waiting for my letting go.
